I haven't got really into this project as Ive struggled with finding the material and knowing what my question is. However i have sat down and finalised my question and going to start properly and hopefully really get into the question.
The question is;
How Musicals present utopia ideologies to provide escape from society zeitgeist?
Main focus films
Hairspray - 1988
Mamma Mia - 2008
Singing In The Rain- 1952
Wizard Of The Oz- 1939
What i need to do from here-
Watch all film and make notes of key scenes.
1) What is utopia?
2) How is Utopia presented/represented in the films to anylasis of micro features.
3)What was the societal zeitgies at the time each film was produced/released?
4) Do the stars of the film highten the idea of utopia?
